PRODUCTS INTRODUCTION

EN 853 1ST/SAE 100 R1 A is single wire braided hydraulic hose. It is mainly used in high pressure hydraulic systems. The difference between 1ST/R1A and 1SN/R1AT is that the former type has bigger outer diameter.High tensile steel braid provides high working pressure; ozone and weather resistant synthetic rubber cover protecting the inside reinforcement and tube from abrasion and corrosion. Excellent oil resistant tube won't react with hydraulic fluids within -40 to +212°F. The sizes are available from 1/4” to 2”.The minimum impulse cycles is 150,000. The difference between wrapped and smooth cover on 1ST hoses in the following aspects: 1) Abrasion resistance: It is the ability to withstand mechanical stress in the presence of pressure. Abrasion resistance, however, is a property of the cover material.Based on abrasion resistance, the wrapped cover has no telling impact. While the smooth cover  is better than the wrapped cover curing method. 2)Protection from ozone degradation: Ozone is common among most electrical equipment, lighting, and welding materials. It reacts to cause cracking when these materials gain ozone exposure. So, it is necessary to reinforce hose covers adequately.Surface changes in wrapped covers render it less efficient. Therefore it gives room for cracks from ozone exposure.Alternatively, smooth hose covers are more resistant to Ozone induced cracking. It has no changes in surface shape changes that permit cracks. 3)Installation ease: The circumferential ridges around a hydraulic hose should be free. That way, it allows easy cover installation.Using a wrapped cover increases the chances of congestion around the routing paths of the hose. Hence, it is more difficult to route.On the other hand, a smooth cover hose is a better option when routing via a complex pattern.4)Cover material Compatibility: The cover material largely influences the curing method used.This curing method is compatible with an extended range of extruded plastic cover materials. So it is vital in such applications.Otherwise, smooth hose covers are best for most applications. 5)Allowance of larger diameters: This feature allows better hose fitting of different sizes. Wrapped cover  fits hoses of larger diameters. Smooth cover  is not suitable for wider-diameter applications. 6)Ease of production: This factor determines the time required to produce a hose cover. Wrapped cover hose takes less time and therefore is suitable for production runs on a tight schedule. While smooth cover hose’s production is less simple and therefore takes more production time. Customers can choose different covers per the actual application.
