SAE 100 R5 hose is composed of three parts: tube, reinforcement and cover. The tube is made from black synthetic rubber, which is resistant to oils and heat. The reinforcement is made from one layer of single high tensile braided steel wire, making the hose have solid structure. The cover is made from braided fiber, making the hose resistant to weather and ozone. Talking of BAILI SAE 100 R5 hose, the main difference with other hoses is the cover. R5 hose is textile outer braid impregnated with oil and weather resistant rubber. Applied temperature range is -40 ℃ to +100  ℃. The available sizes for R5 is from 3/16” to 1-13/16” and the working pressure differs from 24 bar to 207 bar. Compared with others hoses, R5 hose sizes do not apply with metric size per SAE J517 standard and it represents the number of sixteenth inch increments in the hose inside diameter. So 13/32”, 1-1/8”, 1-3/8” and 1-13/16” showed in the sizes list. For R5 impulse, normally the hose assemblies, when tested at 125% of the maximum working pressure for hose sizes 22 mm (-16) and smaller and100% of the maximum working pressure for hose sizes 29 mm (-20) and larger, with 100 DC circulating petroleum-base

test fluid, shall withstand a minimum of 150 000 cycles for hose sizes 22 mm (-16) and smaller and 100000 cycles for

hose sizes 29 mm (-20) and larger, without leakage or other malfunction.

SAE 100 R5 steel textile covered hydraulic hose is suitable for impacted medium pressure hydraulic petroleum-based oils, lubricating oils, overheating lubricating oil and water & air piping, such as air brake, power steering, fuel filter, turbocharger and oil cylinder of heavy commercial vehicles. It applied with petroleum Based Hydraulic Oil, Air and Water for use in Air Brakes, Power Steering, Turbo Oil Lines, Tilt Cab Cylinders, Transmission Coolant and Filtration Lines.

Medium Compatibility:

Glycols and polyglycol based oils, Mineral oils, Oils in aqueous emulsion, Synthetic ester based oils, Vegetable and rape seed oils, Water, Diesel fuel (up to 93°C /200°F)
